In early January 1973, I was chosen by the CO, Chief Superintendent L. G. Pantry as the Driver for His Excellency The Right Honourable Roland and Mrs Michener.
His Excellency's visit to Prince Edward Island was an rare occasion and an experience not to be forgotten.
In the top photo, my colleagues and I had the honour to be individually introduced to Their His Excellency's.
Meeting the The Right Honourable Roland and Mrs Michener was another extraordinary highlight in my RCMP career.
To my surprise, I was presented a gift of a silver beer stein by his Excellency. It was inscribed with my bname and His Excellency's name
