On Sunday, June 8th, 2014, a very special Memorial Service was held at the grave of Assistant Commissioner Alexander Neville Eames -- Team Leader of the search party of the Mad Trapper. The Memorial Service was held at the RCMP National Memorial Cemetery and conducted by RCMP Chaplain Pierre Belanger.

It had been previously agreed that the Eames Memorial Service would take place during the weekend of the 2014 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the RCMP Veterans Association.

Assistant Commissioner A. N. Eames was finally laid to rest.
