Brookwood Military Cemetery

Surrey, England

Brookwood Cemetery, 30 miles from London, UK is one of the Commonwealth Cemeteries.

A Memorial stands at the south end of the Canadian Section of the Cemetery. It commemorates 3,500 Commonwealth men and women who died during WWII and have no known grave.

More specifically, the Brookwood Memorial honours 199 Canadian servicemen and women -- two of whom were RNWMP.


Reg.#6886, RNWMP Constable [Private, C.E.F. #2683887] Everett Kirkpatrick, joined the Force on April 23, 1918. He was posted to A Squadron, Cavalry Draft and served in England during WWI until June 30, 1918 at which time he died of peritonitis. R.I. P.


Reg.#7273, RNWMP Constable [Private, C.E.F. #2684048] William Alexander Pearson, joined the Force on May 9, 1918. He was posted to A Squadron, Cavalry Draft and served in England during WWI until November 28, 1918 at which time he was killed in a motor vehicle accident. R.I. P.
