True and Fascinating Canadian History

Romeo Le Blanc

Governor General His Excellency

The Right Honourable

Governor General Roméo Le Blanc

My interest in First Aid Training had begun in 1957 while in high school with the Royal Canadian Cadets and Royal Canadian Militia in St. Stephen, NB.

By 1997, I had completed a forty year relationship and volunteer work with St. John Ambulance. In the photo above, I wasinvited to be invested into the Order of St. John. The Annual Ceremony was held in Notre Dame Cathedral, Ottawa, Ontario

Meeting The Right Honourable Mr. LeBlanc was another extraordinary highlight in my RCMP career. Upon meeting him, I reminded His Excellency that he and I were both native New Brunswickers. He had a grest sense of humour. He replied, 'New Brunswickers must always stick together.'

I was sad to hear that Mr LeBlanc had passed away in 1999. He was buried in New Brunswick.
